- Usage: The tape is used to reduce the risk of leaks through potential cracking locations like wall corners, floor-to-wall connections, and pipe entries.
- Applications: It is ideal for use in residential and commercial wet rooms, swimming pools, balconies, terraces, cold storage areas, car washes, and catering kitchens in combination with ceramic coverings.
- Material Composition: The sealing layer is made of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and the fleece is polypropylene.
- Durability: The product is resistant to UV exposure (≥ 500 hours) and various chemicals.
- Performance: It offers high elasticity (≥ 200% lateral elongation) and high breaking strength (≥ 85 N/15 mm longitudinal tensile strength).Â
How to Apply
The Sika SealTape F is a non-adhesive tape and must be used with a Sika waterproofing product.Â
- Substrate Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, stable, and free from any loose particles, dust, oil, or grease.
- Application Method: The tape is embedded into the first layer of the wet Sika waterproofing product using a smoothing trowel or spatula.
- Overlaps: Overlaps between tape sections must be at least 50 mm.
- Finishing: Once the first layer and tape have hardened, a second layer of the Sika waterproofing product is applied on top.Â
