Sika Multigard
 is a solvent-free, water-based, two-component epoxy protective coating sold in a 600gm pack size used to protect walls and cementitious structures against damp patches and mild chemical attack, especially in indoor applications.Â
Product Details & Usage
- Primary Use: Acts as an undercoat for wall putty/paint on internal damp patches on walls to allow entrapped moisture to breathe out, preventing peeling and blistering. It can be applied to concrete, rendering, stone, asbestos, and cement substrates.
- Key Advantages: It is odourless, resistant to oil and grease, weather-proof, and mild dew-resistant. It contains no solvent, eliminating fire hazards, and is even suitable for potable water reservoirs.
- Application: It is easy to apply using a brush or roller within 20-30 minutes of mixing its two pre-batched components (Part A is a white paste, Part B is an off-white liquid). The surface should be slightly dampened before application, and a minimum of two coats is recommended.
- Coverage: One 600gm pack covers approximately 20 sq ft for two coats.
- Overcoating: Once the entrapped moisture has breathed out, an overcoat of Sika® Wall DĂ©cor or acrylic-based paint can be applied. It can also be stained with a good quality water-based stainer for light shades if no other overcoat is desired.Â
