 is a flexible, liquid-applied, white acrylic waterproofing and heat-reflective membrane sold in a 10 kg packaging, available from several online retailers in India.
 is an acrylic polymer-based coating designed for waterproofing and heat reflection on exposed roof slabs and terraces.Â
- Key Features:Â It is a single-component, liquid-applied membrane that is UV and weather resistant. It contains special glass microfibers and antifungal additives for durability. The high Solar Reflective Index (SRI) of 102 helps reduce heat ingress, keeping interiors cooler.
- Application Area:Â Suitable for exposed roof slabs (new and old), terraces (sloped and flat), and external walls.
- Coverage: For typical roof application, the consumption is approximately 0.75 kg/m² per coat (two coats recommended). A 10 kg pack generally covers around 125 sq. ft for two coats.
- Application Instructions:
- Preparation:Â The substrate must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and loose materials.
- Priming:Â The surface should be primed with Sika Cool Coat Primer.
- Coating: Apply the first coat by brush or roller within 2-4 hours of priming. The second coat can be applied after a waiting time of 6-8 hours at +30°C. For reinforcement, a Sika Fab 1 glass fiber mesh can be placed over the first tacky coat.
- Shelf Life:Â 12 months when stored properly in original, unopened, and undamaged sealed packaging in cool and dry conditions.Â
