Sikadur 20 Crack Seal
 is a solvent-free, two-component, low-viscosity epoxy resin in a 160 ml package used for sealing non-structural cracks and cavities in concrete.Â
Product Details & Features
- Chemical Base: Epoxy resin.
- Form: Liquid, with low viscosity, allowing it to penetrate fine cracks effectively.
- Key Advantages: Semi-elastic crack sealing, high adhesive strength, no shrinkage, and suitable for use in both dry and damp conditions (though free of standing water).
- Application Areas: It is ideal for concrete decks, balconies, concrete roof structures, wet rooms, swimming pools, and for repairing floor tile joints to prevent leakage, especially before waterproofing works.
- Maximum Crack Width: The product is designed for cracks with a maximum width of 10 mm.
- Shelf Life: It has a shelf life of 12 months when stored properly in its original, unopened packaging.Â
Application Instructions
- Surface Preparation: The concrete surface must be at least 28 days old, clean, sound, and free of any debris or standing water. Cracks or cavities should be grooved and cleaned out.
- Mixing: The two components (Part A and Part B) are mixed in a 1:1 ratio by volume. Shake each component slowly, then pour equal parts into a clean bottle and invert slowly 15-20 times until uniformly mixed.
- Application: The mixed resin is poured directly into the vee-notched crack or cavity (gravity fed) until completely filled.
- Finishing (Optional): To achieve a flat surface, after mixing components A and B, cement can be added as a filler (ratio of 1 part mixed resin to 2-3 parts cement by volume) and applied with a putty blade.
- Pot Life: The mixed product has a pot life of over 20 minutes at +30°C, so mix only the quantity that can be used within this time.Â
